The plans provide for the building of two cottages; a shop with living accommodation; and a dwelling house on the north and east sides of a plot of ground at the junction of Swallow Street and Bow Street.

The accommodation in the two cottages fronting Swallow Street comprised:

  • Basement (part) - keeping cellar; coals
  • Ground - living room; single storey scullery extension to rear)
  • Chamber - two beds

A covered passage from Swallow Street between the second cottage and the shop on the corner of the site provided access to the yard.

The shop had a door on the corner of the two streets. and large windows to each street frontage.
