Additional Information
The plans provide for the addition of a two storey (over basement) extension at the rear of theKing Street premises, mostly to provide additional warehouse accommodation, but also an office and a privy. There is no architectural detail shown and there is no Building Notice with the plans. The Sheffield & Birmingham Warehouse on the north side of King Street, was adjacent to William Wilson's Tailor & OUtfitter, 73 King Street. A covered passageway between the two shops provided access to the yard. The shop front faced the junction of King Street and Zetland Street.
The property was demolished when Venn Street was opened up to join King Street. The site is now part of the Kingsgate development.
