Additional Information
The plans provide for the building of a terrace of six houses on the northern side of a westerly extension to Swallow Street. James Christie owned a number of properties in the area including dwellings on the south sideof Swallow Street at the junction with Bow Street.
The new properties are planned as mirrored pairs each with a small front garden, and shared steps up to the front doors. A covered passage between the third and fourth dwellings provies access to the rear of the properties. Each pair of dwellings has a two storey extension at the rear of the property with a scullery on the grouond floor and bathroom above. Each roperty has a basement (for Larder and Coals) with an area grate at the front of the dwellings.
Each dwelling comprises :
Basement (part)- larder; coals
Ground - sitting room; living room; scullery
Chamber - three beds; bathroom
Attic - one room
