Additional Information
The plans are for a warehouse to be built on a site of an earlier building which has been destroyed by a fire. The three storey buildingh and basement occupy an irregular site at the junction of Market Street and Fox Street< The site is bounded to the north by the Cherry Tree ; to the east by Market Street; the south by Fox Steet; and to the wset by Preston Brothers warehouse and the PLough Inn.A covered passge from Market Street led into a small yard. A feature is amde of the corner of the new building which curves around Fox Street and Market Street. A carved entablature with the date and other decorative features typical of the warehouse6s ihis area, many of which were the work of John Kirk & Sons. The re-building attempted to maximise the use of the site. Demolished with the rest of the Cherry Tree site .
