Additional Information
Single storey building with basement cotaining General Office, Private Office, Waiting Room and W.C.s. Adjoins the warehouse by the same architect (See Deposited Plans 391,8 December 1898). The elevation to Kirkgate is stone faced with ashlar dressings, plain, a centrally placed door with four windows on either side of the symmetrical facade. The drawings show thta the warehoue for the storage of iron had been modified in the building process, making it appear grander than orignally envisaged. There are doors for public access on either side of the large central warehouse doors , and theese are surmounted ny a pediment. The roof of the new building is covered with blue slates as as the warehouse.
