The nature and extent of the lanned alterations is not clear from the drawings which relate to building behind Jabez Porritt's property fronting on to Clare Hill
It coould be a stble, coach house or workshop which is being converted into cottage accommodation. The plans appear to show two cottages, each of which comprises :
Basement - keeeping cellar, coals; kitchen
Ground - toom
Chamber - two beds together with new privies backing on to the road to the rear of the property, opposite William Toberts' warehouse. The elevations are polain with extenal steps to basement.
Mr Porritt's house in Clare Hill is one of a terrace of houses. From the junction with St John's Road, these are occupied by Mr Bairstow
