Additional Information
The plans show a new house to be built in the grounds of property held by Mr. Charles Haigh. The new, double-fronted property is only one room deep. There is a basement under the western part of the house, reflecting the fall in the land, which contains the larder and coal cellar. At ground floor level, there is a sitting room and a kitchen, separated by the hallway. A single storey lean-to houses a scullery to the rear of the kitchen. The first floor and attic floor each have two bedrooms and a box room. The elevation to Bankfield Road is undistinguished except for a round-headed attic dormer surmounted by a decorative ironwork finial.
