Additional Information
The shop on the south side of Westgate and on the western side of the Swan with Two Necks and forming part of that property, had been tenanted by Julia Ann Ramden, Confectioner. It is probable that a change in the tenancy provided the landlords with the opportunity to introduce a new modern shop front with large plate glass windows and a door recessed from the frontage. The plans signed ,using a rubber stamp by Ben Stocks, show the premises as existing and as proposed.
