The plasn provide for the construction of five covered coal storage yards in an area approximately 192 feet x 72 feet in the plaot of lannd bounded by the Btoad canal ot the N.W.; the Aspley canal basin to the S.W. and St Andrew's Ropad to the S.E. The yards provide a point for the transference of coal to and from the canal and the rod/rail systems. The yard also includes a stable, office and weighbridge.

There are openings from the yards to the wharf beside the canal basin.
